$450,000 awarded: First WIT presents new possibilities

Wednesday night brought students, faculty and friends to Smothers Theatre for the first annual Waves of Innovation Talks. With 158 applications submitted, eight semi-finalists were selected by the Waves of Innovation Committee to present their ideas in hopes of gaining funding for their projects. The number of law school applicants is at its lowest point since 1998 with a 45 percent drop in last year’s October Law School Admission Test (LSAT) takers since 2009, according to The Wall Street Journal in 2013.
