Men’s Basketball Snaps Nine Game Losing Streak With Win Over Pacific

Men’s Basketball received their first conference win of the season after defeating Pacific on Feb. 5, the same team they played Feb. 3. Led by freshman forward Maxwell Lewis, the Waves held off the Tigers this time and snapped their nine game losing streak.

Men’s Basketball Drags Behind San Diego, Loses 72-62

In their WCC home opener, Men’s Basketball lost 72-62 against the University of San Diego. The Waves lagged behind the Toreros for most of the game, and were unable to secure the points necessary to close the gap.

Freshman guard Malachy Caffrey moved to Malibu from Yakima, Wash. without a guaranteed spot on the Men’s Basketball roster. The walk-on eventually earned the respect of his teammates, coaches and millions on TikTok.
