Pepperdine Women’s Volleyball went 1-1 in the 23rd annual Pepperdine Asics Classic. Rachel Ahrens reached 1,000 career kills in the process, becoming the 21st Pepperdine Women’s Volleyball player to reach that milestone.
Pepperdine Women’s Volleyball defeated UC Irvine 3-0 on Wednesday after a big comeback in the second set. The Waves then fell to UC Santa Barbara on Friday in their final match before WCC play.
In the second and final home tournament, the Waves were unable to post a W against No. 16 Utah, Cal Poly and No. Pitt.
In their first home games of the 2019 season, Pepperdine Women’s Volleyball defeated Cal Baptist and Fairfield before falling to Texas A&M.
