Pepperdine’s dining options are as unsatisfying and chaotic as ever, and the issues begin and end with the school’s food service provider Sodexo. The Graphic staff calls for the University to choose a new provider when Sodexo’s contract ends in 2022.
It’s easy for first-year students at Pepperdine to get stuck in an unappetizing rut as they are forced to pick a meal plan that costs thousands of dollars per year. To solve this, the University should offer first-year students the choice to cook for themselves by furnishing first-year dorms with full kitchens.
