Pepperdine’s New Fitness Center was projected to open in Summer 2022, due to construction delays. The fitness center will open Friday April 22, with a grand opening in the fall 2022 semester.
Pepperdine’s fitness scene has faced changes with the announcement of a Wellness fee and a new Fitness center projected to be finished in Summer 2022. Pepperdine students consider what these changes mean for them, and the importance of working out in college.
Pepperdine University has created another fitness gym for students to use. Although, a better use of time, money and space would have been to make it a parking area for the students.
The University projected the new temporary fitness center to be completed at the end of 2021. Rain, COVID-19 and subsurface issues all contributed to a longer delay, and the exact completion date is not known.
The new structure between Seaside and Eden House is soon to be a fitness center for Campus Recreation. It will double the fitness space available in the current Firestone Fieldhouse weight room.
