Provost Addresses SPP Email and Reaffirms Pepperdine Mission of Inclusion

Provost Rick Marrs sent an email to the Pepperdine community Oct. 26 addressing the School of Public Policy email marketing campaign sent Oct. 12. Marrs expressed concern for community members of color who were hurt by the campaign and Pepperdine’s affiliation with partisan ties.

Pepperdine Community Reacts to School of Public Policy Dean’s Email and Petition

The Pepperdine community had a wide range of reactions to the School of Public Policy’s petition against The New York Times’ The 1619 Project and Dean Pete Peterson’s Oct. 12 email to Conservative News Subscribers. Several faculty organizations, alumni groups and student groups shared petitions and letters against and in support of Peterson.
