Water main breaks on PCH

A water main broke at the 20000 block of PCH around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning near Moonshadows Bar and Grill. The incident was caused by a trash truck backing into the hydrant and shearing it off the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported to KTLA. Virginia (Ginie) B. Braun a long-term Pepperdine benefactor passed away Saturday at age 93. Her death was caused by a brief illness. Mrs. Braun was born in Detroit Michigan in 1917. She attended Briarcliff College in New York and Garland College in Boston. Breaking news: flash flood warning

Update 8:40 p.m. Northbound Pacific Coast Hwy at Topanga Canyon Rd has been closed and the flash flood warning has been extended to 9:00 p.m. A flash flood warning for Malibu and nearby areas is in effect until 7:45 p.m. according to the National Weather Service. Student religion reporting award $600 first prize
