Pepperdine’s first-year students arrived in Malibu on Aug. 24 and participated in a week of New Student Orientation to get acquainted with campus. For some students, this week was their first time on campus.
Pepperdine gives the sophomore class a proper welcome after a year of isolation. The Year 2 Welcome gives students an opportunity to bond and get familiar with campus.
New students are already adapting to the Zoom culture at Pepperdine. They will finish up a six-week online orientation the week of August 10, which replaced their NSO experience.
Those who partake in NSO should be aware of the impact that over-stimulation can have on introverted students.
Pepperdine’s long-standing tradition of welcoming new students is the foundation of a student’s Pepperdine experience.
