Men’s Volleyball PR department reported Head Coach David Hunt will be stepping down following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season May 5. Hunt led the team for the past five years and the team will continue to search for a head coach for next season.
Men’s Volleyball fell to No. 1 ranked UCLA in three sets. Unfortunately for the Waves, UCLA won the season series on April 9 with a sweep.
Men’s Volleyball swept George Mason on March 11 following their loss at McKendree. The Waves’ success was the result of a much different starting lineup.
Pepperdine Men’s Volleyball won a thrilling five-set match versus the University of Southern California on Feb. 23. The Waves had three players in double-digits in kills and sophomore middle blocker Anderson Fuller and sophomore setter Bryce Dvorak had seven blocks apiece.

No. 5 Men’s Volleyball defeated UC Irvine 3-0 at Firestone Fieldhouse on Feb. 9. After losing at UC Irvine on Feb. 11, the Waves enter conference play with a 5-3 record.
Men’s Volleyball responded to their first loss of a season with a convincing win over Lewis. The team will have another chance against UCSB on Friday, Feb. 4.
No. 4 Men’s Volleyball team opened their season in Malibu on Thursday, Jan. 13 and Friday, Jan. 14, with back-to-back sweeps of the Erskine Flying Fleet (25-9, 25-19, 25-15), (25-17, 25-16, 25-16). The team continued the victory parade, winning their match against Princeton on Monday, Jan. 17 (25-21, 25-20, 25-20)
After reaching the MPSF Finals and the NCAA tournament, the Men’s Volleyball team looks to use their depth in an unpredictable season. The team feels like they have what it takes to go deeper into the postseason.
Despite 25 days without a match, Pepperdine Men’s Volleyball beat Stanford and UCLA en route to the championship match of the MPSF tournament. The Waves lost the championship to BYU, but were selected to the NCAA Tournament the following day.
