The Board hosted its first virtual Pacific Sounds Music and Art Festival on April 19-24. Pepperdine artists showcased their pieces and musicians from both the outside and Pepperdine community performed throughout the week.
Singer-songwriter Callie Mechelke uses music as a form of catharsis to overcome heartbreak and release emotions. Mechelke has written about a variety of topics, ranging from past romantic relationships to her faith in God.
Some students come to Pepp and return home with body art, whether abroad or in LA, and this type of self-expression is gaining popularity among the student body. These students stand up for the negative stigma against tattoos in a Christian setting.
