Photo/Grant MatsushitaMore than 300 students, faculty and staff participated in this year’s annual Alpha Phi sorority philanthropy fundraiser, Alphatraz. The turnout was one of the best in the history of the event, according to Alpha Phi Photo/Grant Matsushita Director of Philanthropy Tara Lawrence. Anyone wishing to imprison a fellow student or staff member in the Student Lounge was able to purchase a warrant and have members of the sorority arrest and jail them until t hey make their set bail from passers by. Proceeds from the event will go to the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports cardiac care research programs around the country. T-shirts from the event are still available.
