The women’s swimming and diving squad won seven events on Senior Day during the PCSC Time Trials on Saturday Jan. 29. Seniors Kayleen Hicks Jessell Owens Tiffany Martz and Robin-Lindsay White were honored for their discipline over the past four years.
Hicks the record-holder in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke opened with a second place finish in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore Shannon Adkins followed by winning the 500 freestyle the 200 backstroke and placing third in the 100 butterfly. Also Sarah Burris finished first in the 100 backstroke.
Pepperdine also dominated the diving portion of the competition with junior Kristin Scribner winning the 3-meter board event closely followed by Martz and junior Leslie Wade. Martz also won the 1-meter competition and Scribner and Wade placed second and third consecutively.
They finish their season Feb. 16-19 in Long Beach in the PCSC Championships.
