Volleyball player suspended

Pepperdine men’s volleyball sophomore libero Sean Grubbs has been suspended by the Student Disciplinary Committee for next year. Grubbs allegedly has been involved in two alcohol incidents on and off campus.

Grubbs is allowed to finish the season, which is currently going into its final weekend as the Waves host the University of Hawaii for two matches on Friday and Saturday. He will also be permitted to compete in any postseason action for which the Waves will qualify.

The suspension is currently on appeal and Grubbs’ suspension could potentially be reduced to one semester, which would allow him to play volleyball on the team next season.

Grubbs is an integral part of the Waves team, being a regular starter and also one of the leaders in digs on the squad.
