VIDEO: Malibu Skate Park

November 11, 2008 by Pepperdine Graphic

The Malibu skateboarding community voted in a unanimous decision to build a new skate park in Malibu. Papa Jack’s skate park already exists in Malibu but many skate enthusiasts feel it lacks quality and say if a new park isn’t built boarders may be tempted to use unofficial locations.

This is where the Malibu City counsel hopes to build the park- at the Crummer Property next to Bluff’s Park which is known for it’s rugby field and little league park. Plus they say it will foster a creative environment for the community with easy access from Pacific Coast Highway.

The counsel will make a decision about the location in an upcoming meeting. If you are a part of Malibu skateboarding community the counsel encourages you to get involved with this process.
