As Omicron cases around the world rise, Pepperdine’s International Programs begin the spring semester under unique circumstances. Although the experience looks different from what students, like sophomore Florence participant Melanie Tadros, expected, they said they are finding the bright side to finally being abroad.
It is time to shine the light on the women behind the music at Pepperdine. Whether playing in a musical duo, participating in Pepperdine’s music program or performing in the orchestra, these artists are creating the melodies of the future.

Lausanne Program Director Ezra Plank shared his experiences living in Lausanne over the last seven months, from watching the students leave in March to prepping for the next program participants and bracing for a possible second lockdown in Switzerland.
The Pepperdine Lausanne program will move from the Maison du Lac to Chateau d’Hauteville outside of Vevey. The castle is undergoing extensive renovations and will not be ready until 2023, administrators said.
