Seaver College bomb threat

August 29, 2007 by Pepperdine Graphic

Assistant News Editor

Seaver College received an e-mail bomb threat this morning, and the university is taking “the appropriate steps to ensure” campus safety, wrote the public relations office in an e-mail notification sent to students at 10:34 a.m.

The threat e-mail was one of several sent to colleges across the country this week, wrote a public relations spokesperson, and there was “no indication” that it was credible. However, law enforcement officials had been notified and students were advised to report any suspicious people or packages to the campus Department of Public Safety.

Wileen Wong, associate director of public relations, said she was not able to comment on the situation at this time. A representative from public safety could not be reached for comment.
