Opinion: The Graphic Predicts Week 5 of the ’25 NFL Season

October 5, 2025 by Marcos Lizarraga

Art by Cara Tang

In Week 4, Thursday Night Football brought us the “Battle of the Birds” between NFC West foes, the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks pulled out the win thanks to a game-winning field goal from Jason Myers.

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings squared off in Dublin, Ireland at 6:30 a.m. PST. Early fireworks from DK Metcalf gave the Steelers the lead, and they never looked back — moving to 3-1 and first in the NFC North, in a week where the Browns, Ravens and Bengals all lost.

In the AFC South, the Indianapolis Colts dropped a heartbreaker in the final minute to the Los Angeles Rams. Rams WR Tutu Atwell caught his first pass of the season — an 88-yard touchdown — to take down Indiana Jones and the Colts. Despite the loss, the Colts remain in first place in the division, while the Rams now sit in a three-way tie atop the NFC West.

Sunday Night Football gave us a shootout between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, ending in a 40-40 scorigami — a score never before seen in NFL history. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles continued their hot start by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Furthermore, the Washington Commanders, without Jayden Daniels, fell to the Atlanta Falcons.

Finally, Monday Night Football featured the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals, who both came up short against the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos, respectively. The Bengals, without Joe Burrow, look lost — and there aren’t any signs it will get better soon.

For this week, your PGM staff of certified ball-knowers and Kenneth Walker truthers will try to go 16 for 16 on NFL picks.
