“I am currently a senior on campus and of my four years I have never been more concerned about the direction the Graphic is going in. The recent DUI reports that have been published are unnecessary and hurtful. I can honestly say that I do not have any relationship with the individuals involved; however, I do believe I should offer my criticism as a neutral third party. The articles that have been written are forms of bullying. If the Graphic truly wanted to report news about the incidents, then names should not have been released. The people who are involved in those accidents are facing serious legal repercussions, not to mention Pepperdine’s own proceedings and punishments. I do not think they need to be forced to deal with an even more. Imagine how you would feel if your biggest mistake became widespread gossip across school. Frankly, it is mean spirited and wrong. I do not think the Graphic is embodying our university’s christian values and I hope to see an apology and a stop to these types of articles.”
