HIGHLIGHTS: Women's basketball vs. USF

February 19, 2010 by Pepperdine Graphic

Senior forward Miranda Ayim and her sixth double-double of the season led the Lady Waves to victory against the University of San Francisco Thursday night. The Waves jumped out to an early 9-2 lead with some help from Ayim and freshman Shay Cooney-Williams. But the Dons rallied back to tie the score at 11 with 12:30 remaining in the first half but that’s as close as they were going to get. The Waves would continue on a scoring run to take a 33-25 lead at halftime. The second half was as fruitful as the first with sophomore guard Jazmine Jackson starting an 8-0 run building the Wave’s lead to 15.After that there just was no stopping them as the game ended 64-49.Find out more information at pepperdinesports.com
