Head in the Game: Key Pearson

September 30, 2021 by Gabrielle Salgado

Senior Business Administration major Key Pearson speaks about her mental health challenges as one of Pepperdine’s top cross country athletes.

Pearson shares the importance of mental health awareness and encourages students to seek help if they notice declines in their mental health.

“You aren’t weak if you seek a counselor,” Pearson said. “You’re a stronger person if you seek help for yourself and that’s something I’ve really had to work on. Self sufficiency is going to end up breaking you.”
