From the Cheap Seats

November 14, 2002 by Pepperdine Graphic

Do you ever wonder what there is to do in Los Angeles that won’t leave your pocketbook permanently scarred? Wonder no more. The Graphic has the answer for you.

Each week the Arts & Entertainment section provides features of a different location or activity to provide hours of entertainment without forcing you into debt.

During the holiday break, grab some friends and camp-out on Colorado Boulevard on New Year’s Eve with hundreds of other people to celebrate the New Year and await the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.

Camping on the sidewalk is free, just make sure there is enough time to reserve a good spot before that night. Spaces fill-up quickly.

Gather your sleeping bag, buy some s’mores supplies and some silly string, and prepare for a night of little sleep, but a lot of fun.

Parking prices vary, although admission is free to see the parade.
