Douglas Kmiec, former US ambassador, to launch book in Malta

April 13, 2012 by Kayla Ferguson

Former US ambassador to Malta Douglas Kmiec will be returning to Malta in a few days to launch a book about a tragic accident that happened in  August of 2010. Kmiec lost two of his closest friends, a nun and a priest, in the accident where a Hyundai Accent driven by Kmiec crashed into a ditch.

The book, ‘Lift Up Your Hearts’ is being launched April 19 at the Aula Magna in Valletta, Malta and talks about the challenges Kmiec has faced since the accident.

Kmiec is also a former law professor at Pepperdine.
