Although 409 orange-clad fans occupied the stands at Tari Frahm Rokus field Friday it wasn't enough to inspire a win out of the Pepperdine women's soccer team which fell to UCLA 2-0.Before the loss the Waves were riding on a six-game home winning streak. Water Polo: Men dominate first home match

In their first home game of the season the No. 8 men's water polo team at Pepperdine beat No. 9 Cal State Long Beach with an 8-7 victory. Volleyball: Women struggle in first conference game

The Pepperdine women's volleyball team hosted St. Mary's College Thursday in the first match of the West Coast Conference play. The Waves were swept in three games by the Gaels 14-25 16-25 and 22-25 making their official WCC record 0-1 and overall record 7-6.
