Authorities release information on man suspected of attempted rape in Malibu

A 35-year old woman escaped a man who attempted to rape her after she finished her run in Point Dume State Park at noon on Friday March 15 according to CBS news. She said she was grabbed from behind and escaped by jumping down a 100-foot embankment.In response to the attack Pepperdine’s Department of Public Safety released the following Tuesday:The victim was assaulted in Point Dume State Park Malibu CA after jogging. The victim struggled with the suspect for several minutes before she was able to break away. The suspect did not follow her but did steal her vehicle and left in an unknown direction. The suspect is still believed to be in the possession of the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle is a white (with Silver trim) 2004 Toyota Land Cruiser with California license plate number: 6CHF554. The suspect is described as: male white adult (possibly Hispanic) light colored eyes no front teeth approximately 35-40 years old.
