I attended Pepperdine’s biggest carnival of the year. The carnival included food, family-friendly games, shows and music — all for free. Waves weekend is a celebration of the Pepperdine family. The weekend includes an array of activities such as Homecoming, Family Weekend, Blue and Orange Madness and a concert at Alumni Park.
At 8:15 p.m. students filed into Firestone Fieldhouse for Blue and Orange Madness. It is the kick-off of the Men’s and Women’s NCAA basketball seasons and the largest event of the year. The event showcased a variety of acts and student entertainers including the Pepperdine Step Team, Pepperdine Pom Squad and a special performance by FANNY PAK of America’s Best Dance Crew.
