A musician who encourages his fans to download music for free?

To find someone like this is rare in today’s music industry, but singer and songwriter Derek Webb is encouraging his fans to freely download his latest album Mockingbird.

Webb, who is a former member of Christian band Cademon’s Call, feels that without fans downloading music using the Internet most bands would have never become popular. He is strongly aware of the fact that without the downloading of music, some bands will never get the exposure that they need to push them to the top of the music industry.

After performing at Pepperdine this past week for convocation and a concert on Wednesday night, Webb continued his tour to promote his latest C-D with tour dates in Southern California and Alabama.

To learn more about Webb and download his music visit free freederekwebb.com. The site will continue to allow fans to download Webb’s music for free until December 1st.
