Come support the talent swimming amongst our fellow students at this Friday’s Apollo Night. From inside sources I disclose thatviewers are to be blown away by a dexterous dance team a Shakespearean monologue performance two hilarious jokesters and the heavenly voices of several singers. In total there will be ten acts plus an appearance by the gifted Randumb Show goofballs and last year’s winner Demi Dolce.
The variety show is hosted by Pepperdine’s student organization D.R.E.A.M. which will collect proceeds from the night to be fed into the group’s scholarship fund. By attending the event audience members will join in on admirable goals as the men strive to “dramatically reconstruct education through African-American men by inspiring students through networking outreach community service and enhancing student climate.” After the success of last year’s Apollo Night it is clear the male student organization has a knack for bringing the Pepperdine community together in observance of their tenacious aims. The show has upgraded from Raitt Recital Hall to Elkins Auditorium to accommodate the increased interest sparked by last year’s performances. Pick up tickets in the caf for anaffordable $5 or snatch them at the door for $10. The night kicks off Friday March 11 at 7:30 pm in Elkins Auditorium.
