J-Lo engaged to actor Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez, 32, confirmed in an interview with Diane Sawyer that she and Ben Affleck, 30, are engaged.
Lopez did not give a date or place, but rumors are that they will be married soon after Jan. 26, the date Lopez’s divorce to her second husband, choreographer Cris Judd, is final.
Lopez and Affleck met while filming “Gigli” a year ago. This summer, right after Lopez’s separation from Judd, she and Affleck portrayed a married couple in Kevin Smith’s “Jersey Girl.”
“If you’re ever shooting a movie about two people falling in love, I can’t urge you strongly enough to cast a pair of people who are actually falling in love,” Smith said. “The chemistry between Ben and Jen is so palpable; you could almost bottle it and sell it as an aphrodisiac.”
This will be Affleck’s first marriage and Lopez’s third.

Fans of Emmy show may be forced to pay
HBO is negotiating a deal with the Academy of Television and Arts and Sciences (ATAS) in order to have the Emmy award show air on their network for the next five years.
If this happens, it will be the first time in the Emmy’s 54 years of existence that viewers would have to pay to watch it.
Networks are upset about this idea. “If they make this move, CBS will no longer particpate in the Emmys and will withdraw all support for ATAS,” CBS spokesman Chris Ender said.
With limited viewer access and networks threatening to withdraw, this deal could cause the award show to loose much of its normal audience. The deal will be decided this week.
