Chipotle opened its doors in Malibu for the first time today at 11am. People had already been waiting in line to get in the restaurant up to about half an hour before its opening. Long lines continued throughout the day, with it snaking all the way to the door at one point, according to Chipotle employee Anthony Nevins.
Just barely five hours after opening, Chipotle had already served over 500 burritos. Nevins said that many of its early customers were Pepperdine students and approximately half of its 21-member staff were also attending Pepperdine.
There is no Pepperdine discount in place yet but Chipotle is offering a special offer on Halloween: come to Chipotle dressed in costume
anytime from 4pm to closing and score a $2 burrito.
Chipotle is located in the Malibu Country Mart at 3834 Cross Creek Road and opens from 11am-10pm daily.
