4.0 magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Malibu

A 4.0 earthquake stroked 30 miles off the Malibu coast on Tuesday night, almost immediately after a 2.3 magnitude earthquake struck around 10:14 p.m., according to the LA Times. The tremble was felt at numerous locations including Santa Monica, Ventura County and the South Bay. No damage was reported as of now.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 35 miles from Port Hueneme, 37 miles from Oxnard and 53 miles from the Los Angeles Civic Center.
