Thirty million dollars worth of marijuana was removed from Malibu Creek State Park on Tuesday by the Lost Hills Sheriffs Department.
The 28,000 marijuana plants that were spread along a half-mile stretch across the ridgeline in Malibu Creek State Park were found last week by helicopter, according to Sgt. Ken Davidson.
The plants have been growing in a remote area of the park for the past four to five months and were between four to six feet tall, Davidson said.
Authorities did not begin moving the plants until 8 a.m. on Tuesday, however. The removal has since been completed.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the marijuana, according to the Sheriff’s department.
