Making observations about daily life

January 19, 2012 by Josh Downs

The following takes place between 9:50-10:03 a.m. nearly every day of my life. “Oui, oui!” I scream, as my internal clock wakes me from my 20-minute nap at exactly the end of my French class. Having absorbed as much as a rock would absorb if left in a Tupperware container of maple syrup, I leave the tiny decaying room with a smile and an even more firmly held opinion of the … [Read more...] about Making observations about daily life

Rethinking Resolution

While last semester I would only use the kitchen to make eggs, this year I’ve tried to venture into other … [Read more...] about College Cooking Corner: Culinary adventures begin

To commemorate Pepperdine’s 75th anniversary, the museum is showcasing an exhibit from the Dahesh Museum of Art in New York, titled “The Epic and the Exotic: 19th Century Academic Realism,” which contains pieces that portray the heritage and tradition of classicalism. This collection of 32 … [Read more...] about Oldest exhibit sparks renewed interest

Waves go wild for Coachella

January 19, 2012 by Caneel Anthony

Unless a person has been living under a rock for the past couple of years, there is no way that he or she hasn’t heard about the three-day music festival, Coachella. Promoter Goldenvoice puts it on every spring in Indio, Calif, to the excitement of music fans from all over the country. This year, the festival boasts The Black Keys, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg as … [Read more...] about Waves go wild for Coachella
