A driver ran a red light and hit Kelly Wu Benton daughter-in-law of President Andrew K. Benton as she was entering the Malibu campus Sunday night. No injuries were reported.
Witnesses said the unidentified driver was heading east on Malibu Canyon Road toward PCH and did not stop when she reached the red light at Civic Center Way. Benton was about to reach Seaver Drive when the impact occurred.
At 8:20 p.m. a truck towed both involved vehicles. Debby Benton the president’s wife then helped her daughter-in-law to her original destination of Brock House.
