Dr. Richard Gathro is the new Director of Pepperdine’s Washington DC Program, the university announced today. Gathro has a doctorate in Education and Theology from Graduate Theological Foundation and for the past four years has served as the Dean and Special Assistant to the President of Nyack College.
His other credentials include involvement with Inter-religious Dialogue at Georgetown University, screenwriting and film production in Hollywood and a role on the Board of Trustees at the Russian-American Institute in Moscow, Russia.
Gathro has lived in Washington DC for more than 35 years. Him and his wife of 34 years are active with National Prayer Breakfast and have started numerous non-profit and for-profit enterprises, according to the announcement from the university.
