It’s the day your heart sings for joy and your credit card begs for mercy…it is Black Friday! Yes, BLACK is BACK and it is (as always) beautiful. If you’re ready to get a jumpstart stacking stylish gifts for yourself…err, I mean others…under the tree then look no further. Here are quick tips to help guide you through what can only be described as the “Seasoned Shopper’s New Year”
Plan Ahead: It’s all about strategy. Many stores are starting their pre-sales Wednesday and most are opening their doors at MIDNIGHT on Friday – making this the most aggressive Black Friday yet.
Get a group of friends together and sift through the ads (most of them are online now) to determine what stores are offering the most stylish deals. Make sure you start your Black Friday journey at the stores that have the most desired items on your wish list.
Be Early: If you’re looking for great electronic deals, good luck – word on the street is that people have been lined up since Saturday to nab those deals. There’s still hope for us Fashionistas, however, since our beauty rest prevents us from being able to wait in line for such extensive hours.
That being said, the sharks come out on Black Friday night and if stores open at midnight the latest you should be arriving to your first battleground is 10:30pm; you need to make sure you can even find a parking space before entering the mayhem! In order to be most effective, take the environmental-friendly route and carpool.
Get Caffeine: While you’re anxiously awaiting midnight madness at your favorite fashion outlets get a cup (or two, or five) of coffee to keep you going strong and your body warm throughout the early morning. Not a coffee drinker? Pack a bag of a caffeinated tea in your thermos instead!
Have Fun: As cliché as it sounds, Black Friday can be a great holiday bonding activity for you and your closest friends. The deals are insane, your adrenaline/caffeine levels will be through the roof, and you can finish off your Christmas list all in ONE night! Bring the gift of style to all of your loved ones this year without emptying your entire wallet.
Happy Shopping, Everyone!
