Closed-note exams hold students back from learning skills they will need in their careers. All exams should be open-note to teach people how to be resourceful and find reliable information quickly, as well as to ease unnecessary anxiety.

Chief Development Officer and Vice President for Advancement Lauren Cosentino attended Pepperdine as an undergraduate and has worked at the University ever since. Cosentino said she felt God called her to Pepperdine and created a path for her that she never thought she would go down in the administrative field of higher education.
‘Wordle!’ App Creator Does Good With Mistaken Success
Pepperdine alum Steven Cravotta (’20) created the app, “Wordle!” in high school to practice coding. Over winter break 2021, Cravotta noticed downloads spiked with the launch of the browser-only “Wordle,” and he wanted to do good with the money he was making from in-app purchases.
