COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
Pepperdine misquoted its student COVID-19 vaccination rate, as released in a Sept. 10 email. The real number hovers in the low 80s, but the University had previously reported a 96% vaccination rate of its on-campus students.
In light of Pepperdine’s obedience to both county and federal guidelines pertaining to COVID-19, some community members remain upset at such policies. It’s time to stop complaining and start embracing such protocols.
Pepperdine will mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for all students, faculty and staff before the start of the 2021 academic year. Chief Business Officer Nicolle Taylor provides the University Management Committee’s rationale and additional information on the policy.
