There is a Red Flag Warning in effect till Monday at 6 p.m., according to the National Fire Weather Service. Due to the wind and low relative humidity the Warning is in effect for the San Fernando and Ventura County Interior Valleys, Ventura County Coast, the Foothills above the San Gabriel Valley and the Los Angeles coast from Malibu to the Hollywood Hills.
“Pepperdine Public Safety is monitoring the situation and is prepared to respond to potential wildfires. Additional information regarding Red Flag warnings and Pepperdine’s wildfire response plans is available on the University’s Emergency Information Page, http://emergency.pepperdine.edu,” John Weber, assistant director of Insurance and Risk Management, wrote in an email.
