Face Off: Costumes or haunted houses?

November 7, 2013 by Terah Condrey and Jennifer Ruiz

COSTUMES:

Mug2Costumes are easily the best part about Halloween. From zombies to princesses to Pokemon, Halloween is the one time of the year when it is socially acceptable to dress up and take on a new persona (if only for a few hours). I especially appreciate seeing how creative people can get with their costumes. I love seeing plays-on-words in costume form, and, in my opinion, the more clever a costume is, the better. Pumpkins and candy are nice, but if we are honest with ourselves, it is the costumes that truly define Halloween. -Terah Condrey, Senior

HAUNTED HOUSES:

Mug1Pumpkin carving is fun, but haunted houses encompass the true mystery and eerieness behind Halloween. Haunted houses are the best part of the Halloween celebration because if you are not a little scared on Halloween, then you are pretty much celebrating it wrong! -Jennifer Ruiz, Junior
