11/3/14 9:00 a.m.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft –Petty Theft – Misc. 

Location: GSBM – Beckman Management Center

Summary: A student reported the theft of their motor scooter keys from an unattended classroom.

 

11/3/14 4:09 p.m.

Crimes – Assault/Battery – Simple Battery or Fighting

Location: Off Campus

Summary: A staff member reported receiving second-hand information about a student being assaulted by another student at an off-campus location.

 

11/4/14 8:34 a.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic Accident, Non-Injury

Location: Banowsky Blvd.

Summary: A student said a bee entered their vehicle window and caused them to swerve, accidently striking an unattended parked car. LA County paramedics and California Highway Patrol responded. The student was escorted to the Student Health Center with minor injuries.

 

11/4/14 3:07 p.m.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft – Theft from Building, Burglary 

Location: George Page Residential Complex

Summary: A student reported the theft of their television, video game console and other items from their apartment.

 

11/4/14 11:45 p.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Circumstances

Location: Via De Casa & Via Pacifica Intersection

Summary: A Public Safety officer observed a person laying in the street and identified them as a current student.  The officer determined that they were with another student and engaged in apparent horseplay. Both students were warned about the safety concerns.

 

11/5/14 4:49 p.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic Accident, Non-Injury

Location: Off Campus

Summary: An individual with no affiliation to the university backed a construction vehicle into a university vehicle driven by a student employee while stopped at an intersection. Minor damage was reported.

 

11/7/14 1:21 p.m.

Incidents – Verbal Altercation/ Disturbing The Peace 

Location: Overseas

Summary: There was a report of a verbal dispute between two students.

 

11/7/14 8:57 p.m.

Crimes – Trespassing

Location: Malibu Campus

Summary: A student requested that a relative be denied access to campus. The relative made no threats, but they make the student uncomfortable.

 

11/8/14 9:58 a.m.

Service Calls – Animal Call – Dog

Location: Drescher Student Housing Apartments

Summary: A student reported observing a dog inside of an apartment. Pubic Safety officers responded and checked the living space. No dog was found in the area.

 

11/8/14 11:28 p.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic Accident, Non-Injury

Location: Seaver Dr./Pres Dr. Intersection

Summary: A charter bus drove through the roundabout construction site and collided with a light pole, knocking the post over. Southern California Edison responded immediately to turn off the power to the exposed wires from the sheared-off streetlight.

 

11/10/14 9:35 a.m.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft –Petty Theft – Misc. 

Location: Via de Casa Road

Summary: A condo resident reported the theft of a BBQ propane tank. It was determined a short time later that someone borrowed the tank and no crime was committed.
