Location: School of Law Student Lot
Summary: A student worker in a university vehicle struck a parked vehicle while attempting to back into a parking space. Minor damage was reported.

Location: Drescher Student Housing Apartments
Summary: Public Safety officers responded to an excessive noise complaint in a dorm. Students were warned to keep the volume level of their music down. No additional complaints were received.

Summary: A backpack and laptop were turned in to Public Safety.

Fire/Hazards — Gas Leak, Outside
Location: Drescher Student Housing Apartments
Summary: Public Safety officers and facilities services staff members responded to a report of an odor of natural gas at Drescher. They identified the source of the leak outside of apartment buildings N, P and Q. The gas was shut off, and contractors were dispatched for immediate repairs.

Location: Firestone Fieldhouse Lot
Summary: Malibu Tow relocated an illegally parked vehicle in the Firestone Fieldhouse parking lot to a legal space in the upper Eddy D. Field Stadium parking lot.

Summary: A staff member reported finding a hatchet while inspecting a dorm.

Crimes — Larceny/Theft from a Vehicle
Location: John Tyler Drive
Summary: Two student vehicles’ passenger side windows were found broken, and property was missing from one car. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to file an auto burglary crime report.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents — Drunk in Public
Location: Richard Rockwell Towers
Summary: Public Safety officer responded to investigate a report of a student possibly under the influence of alcohol.
