Traffic Related – Hit and Run, Non-Injury Accident

Location: President’s Drive

Summary: A student returned to their vehicle and noticed new damage. The responsible party left no contact information at the scene. The vehicle suspected of causing the damage was wheel locked for identification purposes. Minor damage was reported.

 

10/20/14 11:23 a.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Person

Location: Center for Communication and Business Lot

Summary: A Public Safety officer responded to a report of a suspicious person sitting on a hillside in the brush area below the Brock House. The officer made contact with the individual and verified they are a current student.

Drugs & Alcohol Related

Incidents – Possession of Marijuana

Location: George Page

Residential Lot

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of an odor that was believed to be marijuana coming from a parked vehicle.

 

10/21/14 7:45 a.m.

Incidents – Heat and Smoke Alarms

Location: Richard Rockwell Towers

Summary: A student reported that oil in a pot caught fire and self-extinguished when it was removed from the burner. There was no alarm activation and the Los Angeles County Fire Department canceled their response before arriving on scene.

Incidents – Suspicious Person

Location: President’s Drive

Summary: An unauthorized person was observed in the backyard of a private residence. The individual was warned for trespassing on private property and escorted off campus.

 

10/23/14 7:15 p.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Person

Location: Seaver Drive Booth

Summary: A Public Safety officer responded to a report of a suspicious person. The officer spoke to the individual and determined they were looking for the church adjacent to campus.

 

10/24/14 5:51 p.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic

Accident, Non–Injury

Location: Off-Campus Location

Summary: A student employee in a university vehicle struck a sign post. Minor damage was reported.

 

10/24/14 8:27 p.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic 

Accident, Non-Injury 

Location: John Tyler Drive

Summary: A student in a vehicle collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle while attempting to parallel park. Minor damage was reported.

 

10/25/14 12:13 a.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related 

Incidents – Under the Influence of Narcotic 

Location: Seaver Drive Booth

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of an intoxicated student.

 

10/25/14 5:50 a.m.

Incidents – Disturbance – Loud Noise

Location: Baxter Drive

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a loud noise complaint. The resident was warned to keep the noise level down.

 

10/25/14 11:39 p.m.

DFS – Facilities Services

Location: Rockwell Academic Center

Summary: A staff member discovered a fish tank water pipe leaking. Facilities Services responded immediately for clean-up and repairs.
