Traffic Related – Traffic Enforcement – Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign
Location: John Tyler Drive
Summary: A Public Safety officer reported a vehicle driving unsafely that failed to yield to their patrol emergency lights. The vehicle was later found parked on campus and cited.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Possession of Marijuana
Location: Hall 13 – Hubert Eaton House
Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of a possible odor of marijuana coming from a dorm room.

Incidents – Suspicious Person
Location: Seaver Drive
Summary: There was a report of a suspicious person. The individual had no affiliation with the university or official business on campus. A Public Safety officer and LA County Sheriff’s deputies warned the person for trespassing on private property and escorted them off campus.

Incidents – Suspicious Person in Auto
Location: Baxter Drive
Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving unsafely and shining a green laser at another motorist. The officers spoke with the staff member who witnessed the incident but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

Incidents – Annoying Phone Calls
Location: Thornton Administrative Center
Summary: A staff member reported receiving a phone call from a former employee that made them feel uncomfortable.

Incidents – Suspicious Circumstances
Location: Via de Casa Road
Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a report of a group of students carrying plywood into the wild land area above the Drescher faculty/staff housing. They informed the officer that they were building a bench by the cross. The group was advised that they would not be allowed to build the bench and that hiking trails could not be accessed from private residential areas.

Incidents – Welfare Check
Location: Hall Tau – David Emerson Summary: A concerned parent reported that they were unable to reach their daughter for an extended period of time and requested a welfare check. Public Safety officers made contact with the student without incident. The student called their parents to let them know they were OK.
