3/17/14 10:25 a.m.

Fire/Hazards – Dumpster/Trash Can Fire

Location: Graziadio Executive Center

Summary: A staff member reported they extinguished a small fire near the trash dumpster at the loading dock. A Public Safety officer responded and found burnt paper that was apparently ignited by a cigarette butt that had been carelessly discarded in an area posted “No Smoking.”

 

3/18/14 11:19 p.m.

Traffic Related – Traffic Accident, Non-Injury

Location: John Tyler Drive

Summary: A student lost control of their vehicle and struck a curb. Major damage was reported.

 

3/19/14 7:20 p.m.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft – Petty Theft – Misc.

Location: Alumni Park

Summary: A student reported that a support bar from a rugby-blocking sled was stolen.

 

3/20/14 1:55 a.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Drunk in Public

Location: Hall 5 – Hayes House

Summary: There was a report of an underaged student feeling ill after drinking alcohol. Public Safety officers responded and offered first aid at the scene.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft – Petty Theft – Misc.

Location: Pendleton Learning Center

Summary: A student reported the unauthorized use of their university identification card.

 

3/20/14 5:09 p.m.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft – Petty Theft – Misc.

Location: School of Law Student Parking Lot

Summary: A student reported that a hubcap was stolen from their vehicle.

 

3/21/14 1:01 p.m.

Crimes – Trespassing

Location: Joslyn Plaza

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a report of unauthorized solicitors. The individuals were advised of trespassing on private property and escorted off campus.

 

3/21/14 10:10 p.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related – Possession of Alcohol

Location: Rockwell Towers

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of an alcohol violation in a dorm room.

 

3/22/14 6:49 a.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Person

Location: Hall 17 – Banowsky House

Summary: A Public Safety officer responded to a report of a suspicious person knocking on a dorm window. The officer spoke with witnesses and identified the responsible party who left the area prior to officers arriving on scene.

Crimes – Larceny/Theft – Petty Theft – Misc.

Location: Hall 2 – Phillips House

Summary: A student reported their fraternity flag was stolen from an unsecured area.

 

3/23/14 12:00 a.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Drunk in Public

Location: Hall 1 – Conner House

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of an intoxicated student.

 

3/23/14 4:24 p.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Possession of Alcohol

Location: John Tyler Drive Booth

Summary: Public Safety officers reported a visitor attending an on-campus wedding was in possession of alcohol. The container was confiscated and disposed of at the scene.

 

3/23/14 11:04 p.m.

Incidents – Disturbance – Loud Noise

Location: Baxter Drive Park

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a loud noise complaint at the Baxter Drive Jacuzzi. A resident and their guests were warned about being in the area after authorized hours.
