Brake Lights? Pass the Aux Cord

November 23, 2015 by Melissa Ubando

Driving down PCH on weekdays is one of my least favorite things to do. And I think everyone’s mood takes a nosedive at the thought of getting on the 405 during rush hour, especially if that one Ed Sheeran song is simultaneously playing on three different radio stations.

If you’re like me and have no space for music on your iPhone (and repeatedly get hit with that “Storage Almost Full” notification), untangle the aux cord in your car and give these tracks a listen on SoundCloud.

1. “Mind” (Feat. Kai) — Jack Ü

2. “Lionhearted” (Arty Remix) —Porter Robinson

3. “Lean On” — Major Lazer & DJ Snake

4. “Lay Me Down” (Flume Remix) —Sam Smith

5. “Octahate” (Cashmere Cat Remix) —Ryn Weaver

6. “The Thrill” (Porter Robinson Remix) —Nero

7. “Omen” (Christian Joseph Cover/Remix) —Sam Smith x Disclosure

8. “You & Me” (Baauer Remix) —Disclosure ft. Eliza Doolittle

9. “Owe Me” (Nicholas Jaar Mix) — No Regular Play

10. “Stay” (Justin Martin Remix) —Henry Krinkle

New remixes of old-house favorites? Bumper-to-bumper traffic just got a little more bearable. Because nothing – not even California’s stunning coastline – can liven up a drive quite like Disclosure’s speaker-shaking synths.
