SGA released the election results for the 2015-2016 school year on March 26. Following are their plans for next year.
Ima Idahosa, President
“I’m looking forward to increasing the efficiency and transparency of SGA while working to enhance student life. My ultimate goal is to continue listening to students’ concerns and ideas and act on them through the implementation of necessary policies, because their concerns are my concerns.”
Edward Adutwum, Vice President of Administration
“My vision for next year as Vice President of Administration is to help the Senate and the student body draft resolutions that will better address our collective needs.Through my past experiences writing resolutions, I want to improve the type of resolutions Senate members write to address issues facing our peers. I also plan to work with our sister organizations, such as ICC and SPB, and various groups on campus to communicate the work SGA is doing for our peers.”
Noah Wossen, Vice President of Finance
“My exposure to the student body has grown over my years here at Pepperdine, and I plan to use that experience to better serve the student body and be influential as your Vice President of Finance. An example of this is making sure that when you pay your SGA fee, it is being appropriately used towards you. I have spoken with a director of one of our overseas locations who has had some frustrations with a lack of funding for their programs, in part being that most of the SGA fee students pay don’t follow them abroad, so I plan to work towards a solution to this problem.”
David Hylton, Executive Vice President
SGA announced Hylton as executive vice president on April 2 after a runoff election.
Senior Class Officers
Pheyshaun Crawford, Senior Class President
Crawford was not available for comment.
Conor Burke, Senior Class Senator
“I would like more class events to foster our community. I feel our class hasn’t bonded as a whole and it’s important to make connections and meet new people because you never know if there is someone in the class that you could connect with.”
Courtney Nyugen, Senior Class Senator
“My primary agenda for next year is to diligently listen to and serve my classmates. I am eager to work towards fairer pricing of on-campus dining and the execution of exciting events for the senior class to enjoy together.”
Whittney Powell, Senior Class Senator
“As a Senior Senate member, my goal next year is to help promote a deeper sense of community on campus by providing events and spaces to do so. I will also be advocating for more events on campus honoring veterans, such as incorporating appreciation and awareness of veterans into special Convo events.”
Junior Class Officers
Omari Allen, Junior Class President
“As class president, I intend to work with my classmates in reestablishing community among the junior class. I also seek to promote diversity in the spiritual and social life on campus, along with aiding in the development of younger students at Seaver through peer-to-peer mentoring.”
Stephan Salas, Junior Class Senator
“I am absolutely exited to be a part of Pepperdine SGA. I will work hard to ensure that our organization is an open outlet of discussion, advocacy and action on important issues that affect our fellow students in their day-to-day lives.”

“I am humbled to have the support of my class for the second year in a row. I look forward to fighting for you.”
Andrew Lozano, Sophomore Class Senator
“Serving as a senator for the Class of 2018, my goal is to ensure that the opinions and views of the sophomore class are not only recognized, but prioritized as active parts of the student government. My hope is that by acting as a mouthpiece for the student body, I will be able to effectively contribute to solving social and academic issues that students, both overseas and here in Malibu, face.”
Dylan Sacenti, Sophomore Class Senator
“Ayo Waves! Thank you so much for electing me into this position. My plans for next year include advocating for improvements on sophomore housing, as well as trying to find hours for the Caf and HAWC that are more convenient for everyone. I look forward to representing you all next year.”
