11/10/14 10:29 a.m.

Incidents – Welfare Check

Location: Off Campus Location

Summary: A concerned student reported that they were unable to reach their roommate for an extended period of time and requested a welfare check. Public Safety officers made contact with the Los Angeles county sheriff’s department who verified that the student had been arrested and was in their custody. Public safety dispatch contacted the parent of the student to let them know the student was okay and directed them to call the Lost Hills sheriff’s department for further information.

 

11/11/14 8:15 p.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Person In Auto

Location: Seaver Drive Booth

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of an odor resembling marijuana emitting from a vehicle. The car left the area prior to officers arriving on scene.

 

11/12/14 11:03 a.m.

Incidents – Suspicious Circumstances

Location: Tyler Campus Center

Summary: A staff member reported receiving a voicemail message from an individual with no affiliation to the university that was expressing frustration for receiving multiple unwanted phone calls.

Crimes – Vandalism

Location: Banowsky Boulevard

Summary: A student reported that their vehicle was vandalized.

Fire/Hazards – Elevator Rescue

Location: Irvine Center

Summary: A report of a student and staff member trapped in an elevator. Irvine campus security and an elevator vendor responded to free the occupants.

Traffic Related – Traffic Accident, Non-Injury

Location: Seaver Dr./Baxter Dr. Intersection

Summary: Vehicle vs. Parked vehicle traffic collision. A student in a vehicle collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle while attempting to park. Minor damage was reported.

Incidents – Disturbance – Loud Noise

Location: George Page Residential Complex

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to a loud noise complaint in a dorm. The resident student was asked to lower the volume of their T.V.

 

11/14/14 11:29 p.m.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Under The Influence Of Narcotic

Location: Rho Parking Lot

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of intoxicated students. Officers spoke with the witness but were unable to locate the individuals in question.

Fire/Hazards – Gas Leak Inside A Structure

Location: Graziadio Executive Center

Summary: Report of an odor of natural gas in a building. Public safety officers and facilities services responded. Facilities services determined that the odor was not natural gas.

Drugs & Alcohol Related Incidents – Drunk In Public

Location: John Tyler Drive

Summary: Public Safety officers responded to investigate a report of visitors with alcoholic beverages watching a soccer game.

Incidents – Suspicious Person

Location: Seaver Drive/Banowsky Intersection

Summary: A Public Safety officer contacted an individual that was roaming the campus at 1am in the morning. The officer determined that the individual was waiting to meet with a member of the University Church.

Incidents – Property Damage – Non-Criminal

Location: Eddy Field Baseball Stadium

Summary: A staff member reported discovering a light post that was knocked over by a canopy during high winds. Facility services responded for immediate repairs.

Crimes – Vandalism

Location: Seaver Drive

Summary: A visitor reported returning to their vehicle and discovering that their door had been scratched.
